Our Purpose

The goal of the Parks and Open Space Working Group is to identify potential open space and park lands and determine the best ways to preserve them.

What We're Doing
And Ways You Can Get Involved

We are in the process of identifying the open spaces to be saved. We will then create an inventory of features of the open spaces, ranking them in terms of desirability for public acquisition, potential for fundraising success, and potential for landowner receptivity to sale.

We are looking into partnerships in the protection efforts, methods of funding, and stewardship and management considerations.

Anyone who is interested in joining us, especially those with experience in the above areas, is invited to contact Gail Fleming at 221-1227 or e-mail her.
